Week 1

We purchased it with 35 km on it. We've put over 900 km in the first week. By this time next week, we'll have driven 2000 km to PEI.

2007 GM Chevrolet Uplander LT

Thursday, June 28th - Lorne picks me up in the 2000 VW New Beetle. The driver's side window will not go up. The little motor starts and stop almost instantly. We go to Bob Myers GM dealership in Ajax, ON. We test drive an HHR (like a PT cruiser) but notice a larger vehicle for $18,000. GM is giving $4000+ off and we also have a $2000 credit from my TD GM Visa card. We ask what options are available in the Gold Mist Metallic colour then sign on the dotted line.

Friday, June 29th - I do the paperwork; registration, insurance - we're getting new plates. I'm keeping the bug. It's only $60/month more to have both insured.

Saturday, June 30th - Lorne & I go to pick up the vehicle. I sign on many more dotted lines. We are able to walk away with the keys without a penny down and have an extended warranty good for 6 years or 160,000 km. This is our third new vehicle and the first one we purchased (financed) outright. The previous 2 we leased first but ended up buying them out in the end.

Sunday, July 1st - the Clark family goes for a drive! We cruise around for 2 comfortable hours. It's awesome. We now have a nice ride for our east coast trip in July.
